Happy Fall Y'all

On Friday after school I took the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out small pumpkins to paint.

Because it's still soooo hot here it's too early to buy a big pumpkin to carve. Next weekend I plan to take them to pick out big pumpkins. The kids love choosing their favorite pumpkin and planning their design.

Here they are working hard on their ghouly creations!
Ashley was very proud of her "black cat" pumpkin. This girl loves glitter!
The finished products. A ghost, a vampire/zombie and a black cat.

After the pumpkin patch we headed over to Coldstone our favorite ice cream place. We had some new yummy fall flavors like marshmallow and pumpkin.

Suncoast Triathlon » Course Map

I was finally able to find a course map for my next triathlon at the end of the month. When I registered they had not posted one and I was worried they never would. Luckily I was wrong. I'm very excited that there are no bridges on the bike route and that the run seems to be all path/trail, no beach. I'm sure there will be some sand on the trail but not running directly on the beach is a big bonus. The times from last year seem pretty fast. I hope that's because of the flat bike course and run route!

The Weekend

This weekend like most, seemed to fly by.

Friday night we went over to the Pilman's house for tacos. We made burritos, quesadillas and taco salads. Dinner was yummy and all the kids had a blast playing together. They all get along famously.

Scott is really enjoying his burrito!

Catching Matt mid-chew

Say cheese! No Matt, there's no food on your face.

Hannah, Ashley and Grace with their red lips.

Drew-"Mad like bull!"

Hannah, Ty and I. That's a close up!

(I think the wine is kicking in.)

Unfortunately on Saturday I had an ALL day training at work. Matt took Ty to his first soccer game. He scored two goals. He had a great time and was super excited to tell me about his goals.

On Saturday night Barb's sister Valarie had a jewelry/house warming party at her house in Safety Harbor. Her house is amazing! She goes all out when she throws a party. Catering, wine tasting and rented roulette and black jack tables. We had a blast!

Christy, Barb's mom (mama Sak), Barb and Barb's sister Deborah. These girls were have too much fun being self-professed compulsive gamblers.

Rick was our dealer. We really liked him, that is when we were winning!

Tuesday is the new Monday

Most people dread Monday's but for me my week truly get's "kicked off" with Tuesday. That's when the after school activities start for the week. First with Ashley at chorus til 4:30. Meanwhile I get Drew and run him to his guitar lesson.

To keep Ty busy I usually treat him to Smoothie King, which he enjoys with Cappy the music store mascot.

After a quick trip back home for homework and a snack it's off to the Y for Tyler's soccer practice and Ashley's running club.

The girls learn about "girl power" and train for a 5k!
(Yes, her watter bottle matches her outfit. Always the fashionista!)

Go White Sharks!!

The fall soccer season at the Y officially started last week. This year Tyler is playing for the first time. It's a bit strange for Ashley and Drew to go watch Ty play a sport. Just the first of many I'm sure. He is such a little athlete. He told us to all yell "Go Tyler". Competetive doesn't even begin to describe my little man.

Nice stop Ty. They all look so cute in their little socks and shinguards.

.
First in line. Of course. He'll definetely get a few seasons out of his soccer shorts. Even xs was gigantic. Thank goodness for the drawstring waist!

The Diva! Not amused at the 9am practice time.

It's not easy being Tyler

Tyler loves to stay busy. One of his favorite things to do is clean. He also happens to be very good at it.

Later today, Tyler and Drew were playing baseball in the backyard. Apparently the ball went over the fence and Drew convinced Tyler to "climb" over the fence to retreive it. This didn't go according to plan!

The first day of school was exciting and sad. Ashley was eager to start her first day as an Intermediate, 3rd grader! Drew wasn't exactly thrilled to have to get up early, Tyler who is my early bird was up with the sun and excited to wear his Lightning McQueen backpack!

I was sad to see them all go. I really loved having them home with me all summer. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy the break. I love the saying "The days are long, but the years are short." It is so true.

Welcome

I decided to start a family blog. I already have a facebook and a myspace and a running blog. However, some of my friends and family don't have access to those. This blog is a way to keep in touch with all of you and share our daily "adventures". I have this site by invite only so that the whole world doesn't have access to my kids! If you know of any friends/family I may not have included or I may not have email adresses for, please let me know and I'll be sure to invite them.

It may take me a few days but I'll have this baby up and running in no time!
